The last couple of weeks I have seen a few workman there who look like they may be refurbishing the place.

Can anyone shed any light or does anyone have an official update? It would great to know what’s happening as I think the village is lost without a pub!

Well, last year after a huge struggle with BT we managed to get 512kbps broadband.

Fast forward to a few weeks ago we had a message left on our answerphone saying our connection was to be upgraded. I didn’t think it was possible but after restarting our router the other evening we are now connected at 1,120kbps (which is about 1.1Meg give or take)!

ADSL has been upgraded in Ewelme

Great news! Those of you using BT in the village have no doubt had a similar upgrade.

If you want to check the speed of your broadband I would recommend the SpeedTest.net website.

I thought it was about time we had a place where you can get up to date information for the village, share news or to simply see some wonderful pictures submitted by Ewelme residents past and present.

We are currently seeking photographs of the village from both past and present. If you have any and would be ok with them being shown on the website please email them to admin@ewelme.net

The website is very much a work in progress but over the coming year I hope it will become a resource for information and an online community for us all.
